Through Him, I’m Coming Out of The Hard Places

Our foundation scripture today is-

“And take… the sword of the Spirit which is the Word of God.”

Ephesians 6: 17

We are to take up the sword of the Spirit- the Word of God. Now, let us remember this truth-

“Therefore let us be diligent to enter the rest, so that no one will fail through following the same example of disobedience. For the Word of God is living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.”

Hebrews 4: 11, 12

The trial of our faith is more precious than gold. It may not seem like it when we wonder why we don’t get immediate breakthroughs, healings, or answered prayers. We become filled with “why?” Thee religious folks and devil will point at you and how you are disqualified. You did this or that, and now it is simply too late for you.

But God wants you to be so fixed in His rest that you rejoice and praise Him during the trial.

Today are you ready? Ready for what? To leap! To leap into His promises and trust Him knowing He cannot and will not fail His Word!

Listen to these verses-

“Consider it ALL JOY, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

James 1: 2-4

Oh, what precious words, and we love to encourage others with them. But what about ourselves? What happens when the rubber meets the road, and you have to stand and do this Word.

You can’t boast of a victory over something and speak a promise with authority until you have gone through it and lived it out. When you have counted it all joy and share with those going through hardships how to count it all joy.

You are in a good place when you don’t know what to do!

Listen, it was only after Abraham had been tried that he could offer Issac. Not before he was tried.

Where the Lord wants to take you so often means He needs you to gain a victory by being tried and proven on a key promise.

Listen-

“Therefore, having being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through Whom also we have obtained our introduction by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we shall exalt in hope of the glory of God. And not only this, but we also exult in our tribulations, knowing that tribulations bring about perseverance; and perseverance, proven character, and proven character hope, and hope does not disappoint because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit Who was given us.”

Romans 5: 1-5

His love is the declaration to you that He chose you. He wants you and calls you His own. You are precious to Him. You mean everything to Him. We need to understand this, and when we get it, then we stand knowing hope will not disappoint!

We know from Romans 4: 16 that Abraham is the father of those who believe! What made him the father- he would not give in! Think about his testimony and the long hard season he endured believing for a promise!

But at times, it is so hard! It is like a heavyweight that I can’t bear! Help!!!

“Therefore, since we have a great high priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but One Who has been tempted in all things as we are, yet without sin. Therefore, let us draw near with confidence to the throne of grace that we may receive mercy and grace to help in time of need.”

Hebrews 4: 14-16

Hear keywords that were spoken here! Hold fast!  Hold fast your confession! Draw near! Confidence! Receive!

Jesus fully understands what you are going through, and as we have seen, He loves you. He is for you, and He is calling you to hold fast your CONFESSION, DRAW NEAR to Him at the throne of grace so that you would RECEIVE the grace you need!

When we go through difficult times, we tend to pull back. That is what the enemy wants you to do. We surrender because it is simply too hard! But the enemy does not play fair, and there is no Geneva Convention. It will cost you more to quit!

The Word is ALIVE, and it is ACTIVE. We have failed to see the full force of the Word moving in our lives because we were unable to fully appreciate the Word as the absolute and final authority.

How do I obtain His grace? His promises! You need to “take the Word!” Take the promises! Lay ahold of them and meditate on them by the Holy Spirit until they burn like a fire inside of you. Then faith arises, and you begin to see things from Heaven’s perspective.

“Until the time that the Word came to pass, the Word of the Lord tested him.”

Psalm 105: 19

The promise will test you because it is a two-edged sword that will separate that which is of the flesh and that which is of the Spirit. The Word is alive, and therefore it moves and grows.

In order for something to be living, it must breathe, and the Word breathes, or another word is that is inspires. The Word breathes on the dead things, and they come alive. Your hope comes alive!

Listen carefully- when the Word comes alive inside of you, it grows until it starts to come out of you. You profess or confess what is in abundance inside of you.

The word used for “confidence” in Hebrews 4: 16 means “freedom in speaking. To speak out freely. To be of a cheerful courage.”

Amen!? The living Word becomes a mighty sword in your hand. It is your only offensive weapon. Instead of receiving the report of the enemy, you attack it with the Word.

It is time to boldly and with confidence tell the devil and your circumstances, “no!” Then dare to boldly declare the Word of the Lord. His Word is His will, so decree it in your life. Speak to the symptoms or the need the promise. Remember Abraham how he was reminded of the promise day and night and every time he heard or spoke his name he heard the promise declared. When he say I am Abraham, he was declaring, “I am the father of many nations!” It was an attack against the problem. It was bigger than a son, it was about the purpose of Heaven.

The Lord is seeking to do something bigger. If you will take up His promises and by the Holy Spirit allow them to become alive and grow inside of you until a bold roar of the promise comes from your lips attacking the situation, you will soon see God has something bigger in mind.

But it is so hard! No, it is not! The Word is more than able. The Word will first bring change in you, then it will change your circumstances, and then it will do something even greater. Remember, it is alive! It is growing and increasing. It is active!

Keep going back to the promises and draw nigh unto Him to receive grace.

Jesus, I come based on your promises! I am holding fast that You cannot fail Your Word. I’m in a hard place, but I chose life, and I chose to count it all joy! I receive your mercy and grace right now, and I boldly declare your promise over my life and circumstances. I will stand declaring Your Word, believing it to be true for as long as it takes.
