Stir Up the Gift -Ignite Mentoring Series

“For this reason, I remind you to kindle afresh the gift of God which is in you through the laying on of my hands. For God has not given us a spirit of timidity, but of power and love and discipline.”

2 Timothy 1: 6, 7

Coal only releases its energy in combination with fire, and the fire of the Holy Spirit is needed to set truth ablaze! Bonnke 1

It is not a formula but a lifestyle. It is a consecrated life surrendered day after day in the Secret Place. Then as we are transformed in the Secret Place, we choose to live out the new life.

What have you received?

“So Jesus said to them again, ‘Peace be with you; as the Father has sent Me, I also send you.’

And when He had said this, He breathed on them and said to them, ‘Receive the Holy Spirit.”’

John 20: 21, 22

SW “Whatever Luke and Mark meant by Jesus being ‘led’ or ‘driven,’ by the Holy Spirit, one thing is certain: a power, a majesty, had fallen on Jesus, and He was no longer the same man. He had received this mighty anointing power of God, and He realized that the only thing for Him  to do was submit.” GW 270

“As He submitted, He was more and more covered with the power and led by the Spirit.” GW270

Let the Holy Spirit be Lord

SW “Looking back on our spiritual journeys, we will see that we have held on to our own way too much of the time.” Gw 24

SW “When we come to an end of ourselves, God can begin to take control.” Pof F 24

“Can two walk together, unless they are agreed?”

Amos 3: 3

SW “We cannot enter into the profound truths of God until we relinquish control, for ‘flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption (1 Cor. 15: 5)” PofF 24

JGL “I shall never cease to praise God that He revealed to me the depth, by the Holy Ghost, of the power of the blood of Jesus.” JGL 390

JGL “The baptism of the Holy Ghost is the incoming into the personality of Him, the Holy Ghost, which is the Spirit of Jesus, taking real possession of your spirit (or inner man), of your soul (the mind and animal life), yea, of your flesh. He possesses the being.”

SW “We cannot enter into the profound truths of God until we relinquish control, for ‘flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; nor does corruption inherit incorruption.’ (1 Cor. 15: 50).” PofF 24

A Real Encounter with the Holy Spirit

“Thou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey. The stouthhearted (inner man) are spoiled, they have slept their sleep; and none of the men of might have found their hands.”

Ps 76: 4, 5

The Holy Spirit is more than a breath or a touch. Far too many settle for an experience instead of an encounter. You need to come face to face with Him until all strength in you is gone. You are wrecked by Him.

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY SPIRIT IS NOT SYMBOLIC OR ceremonious—simply religious jargon to be used in church liturgy or congregational worship. It is the power of the Holy Spirit sent to empower the Church for its earthly assignment. Without it, no souls can be saved no matter our efforts. No lasting change can occur in, with or through the Church apart from the Holy Spirit. Without the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the Church is outmatched by the darkness that pervades the earth and by the tricks of the enemy (John 16: 13). Bonnke

God Loves and Wants You

“That we should be to the praise of His glory, who trusted in Christ.”

Ephesians 1: 12

KK “If you are a born-again Christian, you are literally a joint-heir with Christ, and that comes from the highest authority in Heaven and earth.” The Greatest 109

Catch His Vision For You

SW “There are two sides of the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The first condition is that you possess the baptism; the second condition is that the baptism possesses you. The first has to happen before the second can occur.” PofF 69

SW “Ministers of God are to be flames of fire, nothing less than flames, nothing less than holy, mighty instruments with burning messages, with hearts ful of love, with depths of consecration where God has taken full charge of their bodies, and they exist only to manifest the glory of God.” PofF 70

SW“The shout cannot come out until it is within. The inner working of the power of God must come first. He Who changes the heart and transforms the life. Before there is any real outward evidence, there must be the inflow of divine life.” PofF 39

We are to Be Found in Him

“In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the Gospel of your salvation- having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise.”

Ephesians 1: 13

KK “There are times that we feel so independent, so self-sufficient, and then in awe of our self-sufficiency we get ourselves into serious trouble.” Greatest 111

Your new life is to be lived in HIM.

“And may be found in Him”

Philippians 3: 9

Stay in that place!

“But I say. Walk by the Spirit, and you will not carry out the desires of your flesh. For the flesh sets its desire against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh; for these are in opposition to one another, so that you may not do the things that you please. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the Law.”

Galatians 5: 16-18

And we all know…

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control, against such things there is no law.”

Galatians 5: 22, 23

Then add-

“If we live by the Spirit, let us also walk by the Spirit.”

Galatians 5: 25

The word for walk- is a military march or conduct.  The pattern of my life changes. There is a discipline which is focused on following the Holy Spirit.

Are we flammable or flameproof? If we are flammable then we have yielded and yielded to the Holy Spirit

Give What You Receive

I encourage you to become a sharer and to share everything you receive. In fact, the way to get this message to grow in your own spirit is to start talking to others about the things you have learned. As you talk about them, there will almost immediately be an increase of knowledge on your own part. As you give, you receive.1

Pour out.

“And of the angels He says: ‘Who makes His angels spirits and His ministers a flame of fire.” (Hebrews 1: 7

SW “His ministers are to be flames of fire! It seems to me that no man with a vision, especially a vision by the Spirit’s power, can read that wonderful verse without being kindled to such a flame of fire for His Lord that it seems as if it would burn up everything that would interfere with his progress.” Gw 254

There is Always a Divine Go with the Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is always on the move, always in action. The New Testament word for Spirit is pneuma, meaning wind or breath—air in motion. Pneuma does NOT mean still air. Have you ever known a wind that didn’t blow? To be wind, it must be in motion. I never heard of a “still hurricane” or a “calm gale.” Air in a jar is not wind. If the Holy Spirit is wind, then He is in motion all the time or He is not the Holy Spirit. Bonnke
